Fontana Forklift Masts - Situated within San Bernardino County, the city of Fontana was originally founded in 1913. Ever since that time the city has grown to a population of 190,356 residents. State Route 2010 and Interstate 20 intersect the city from east to west, while Interstate 15 passes diagonally through the northwest part of the city. The cities economy was mainly rural until World War II, When Henry J. Kaiser made a big steel mill in the city. This has since been replaced with the Auto Club Speedway.

The largest library in San Bernardino County, could be located within Fontana. It even has numerous other attractions and amenities for its tourists who stop in and residents. There is a lovely city park and the Auto Club Speedway together with a recently renovated historic theatre, that is home to live shows. Fontana is the home to the 5K run and Fontana Days Half Marathon, which is the fastest half marathon course in the world.

The cities financial system is mainly industrial, along with a focus on the trucking trade. There are several truck dealerships, along with various huge, industrial equipment sale centers littered all over the city. There are lots of centers, such as Sears, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and Target, that distribute their products. Salvage yards are rather popular here, together with small car dealerships. Retail is also extremely common in the city. There are two main shopping centers within the city, with Summit Heights gateway/Falcon Ridge Town Center in the North and Palm Court in the south end of the city. "Miracle Mile" is part of a commercial strip zone which lies along the 210 freeway in between Citrus and Sierra Avenues. Fontana Auto Center has two major dealerships in this zone.

Though the Auto Club Speedway is situated outside of city limits, it still offers a huge boost to the financial system. For three or four days a year, tens of thousands of individuals flock her to watch the races. For these few days, the businesses in Fontana thrive.
