The weather in Long Beach is beautiful and can be classified as Mediterranean. The Pacific Ocean ensures that humidity and heat do not normally overlap, so the warm heat is much more tolerable compared to other places in the state. In the summer, fog and low clouds are extremely common early in the morning but it usually clears up by the afternoon. A cool sea breeze develops from the west and keeps the temperatures bearable.
