Drum Clamps

Forklifts are really meant to lift, move and store products placed on pallets. For facilities which utilize drums, they usually require an attachment to be able to deal with lifting, moving and storing them. There are some various attachments that a business can utilize for all your drum lifting, moving, and storing requirements. These attachments are specifically designed in order to handle drum containers - therefore there is no chance of damage to the product or drum container when they are lifted, stored or moved.

Drum Positioner And Grab
The drum positioner can be utilized to load and unload drums off of vehicles, racks, and drum stands. These are existing in three and four tine models. This attachment is fully mechanical, thus enabling the individual operating it to operate all from the comfort of the lift truck seat. Able to move steel, large and extra large plastic drums, its capacity is 210 liters. This accessory is intended for drum pyramid stacking.

The drum grab is fork designed and mounted with the sole objective of handling steel drums that have rolling hoops. Although the reason for the design was to deal with steel drums with rolling hoops, the drum grab can accommodate the transporting of extra large and large plastic drums. Drum capacity maximum is 220 liters for plastic barrels and 210 for steel drums with rolling hoops.

The Rotator
The drum rotator is actually a lift truck accessory that mounts on to the blades themselves. The purpose of the drum rotator is to pick up the drum and turn it upside down. The drum fits in to the rotator utilizing a steel clamp that fits over the middle of the drum. The rotation is executed by either a crank handle or a continuous loop chain. The crank handle is utilized for operations that happen below shoulder level. For operations that must take place above shoulder level, the continuous loop chain will be utilized.

The drum tines are carriage mounted or simple fork attachments. They are designed for unstacking and stacking 210-liter metal drums. Stacking involves nothing fancy, just easy horizontal placement of the drums. The carriage-mounted accessories lessen the load center of the drums.

Automatic Tongs
Drum tongs are obtainable in automatic and semi-automatic units. They are for use in the tight head or open topped steel drum styles. The drum pincers could be attached in a couple of ways to the lift truck. One way is to connect them beneath a fork-mounted hook. Another way is to attach them to a fork-mounted jib or a carriage mounted jib. Either the automatic and semi-automatic have a drum capacity of 210 liters. With the automatic, there is no requirement for the operator to ever leave the seat of the lift truck.

Rim Grip Handler
Whenever drums require storage space with inadequate spacing obtainable, the Rim Grip Drum Handler is the perfect option in drum forklift accessories. This attachment would work for both the two hundred ten liter drums along with one hundred twenty liter drums. The Rim Grip Handler works by utilizing steel jaws in order to grab the edge of the drum. It picks the drum up and puts it down without requiring any space between all the drums. The average unit in the trade is a zinc-plated handler, although, this particular accessory comes obtainable in stainless steel for the food and drink industry.
